Re: How Will You Be Spending Thanksgiving?

Well I went to the shop on Thanksgiving and put 2 1/2 hours in before I had to go back home to do my Thanksgiving dinner chores. Make the deviled eggs, cut up the pepperoni, summer sausage and cheeses.

I'll be here today, Friday and probably Sunday. Saturday is my normal day off to do household chores. But we'll see, it's becoming crunch time for this kitchen job and I'm in the sprayroom now painting everything.

Re: How Will You Be Spending Thanksgiving?

I ended up not working. Oldest daughter did not going away for the weekend as they normally do.

I thought about saying no and going to the shop, but I can't say no to these two. (they have no choice but to be Bear fans)

Relaxed with a nice long walk on the beach in the am. Then went to a buddy's restaurant that he only had open for friends and family. He had 3 big turkeys and all the fixin's plus open bar...

Did the food thing, and a tradition we have is watching planes, trains, and automobiles. ..and wkrp episode where they drop turkeys out of chopper.

With God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly. Cracks me up every time.

Re: How Will You Be Spending Thanksgiving?

Was a great day with the family and then sisters family came over for dessert... turkey, gravy potatoes and stuffing came out great as did the pies, washed down with eggnog, milk and Manischewitz wine (in honor of my late mother) and assorted adult beverages... as long as those came out great, the rest (i.e. - buiscuts, cranberry, carrots/corn, etc.) was just a bonus...
