Pfffft. Not a real issue, just more BS to get clicks and generate fake outrage.
The reality is that we will need to build more energy efficient homes anyway, eventually. It's not the 1970's anymore.

Yeah, it turns out burning outrageous amounts of oil just because we have it isn't the greatest way to preserve the wealth of a nation.

No actually that's not the reality. We could go a couple hundred years on the fossil fuels that we know about, let alone the oil that we haven't found yet.

Ok, let's assume that's right and not manipulated numbers that count oil that is ridiculously expensive to extract...****'s still expensive. It still pollutes heavily. There's a reason we don't heat our homes with coal furnaces anymore.

Yup. Coal's not as convenient as other fuels. [jaded observation of human nature]

Re: To The Home Builders Out There You Better Pray Trump Wins Re Election

We're at a neat point in the 21st century where I think technology is advancing to a point where we can skip a couple grades in fuel advancements.
Coal would never have gone away if we didn't find a more efficient alternative, no matter how black the skies and buildings got. It's cold, that disgusting stuff makes me warm. Burn it.
I think we can leap frog a few things to get emissions down as well as reduce costs. Of course it's going to be profit-driven, but with the internet and conscious culture, I think the needle will be moved more toward selective consumerism than it has been in the past.
Will this really make a whole hill of beans difference? I don't, is 2-3% a whole hill, or just a portion of a hill of beans?

I’m not too worried about the possibility of a Warren presidency.

If I heard it right, the emerging middle classes in India and China will account for 60% of growing fuel demands per year, moving forward.

The U.S relies on fossil fuels to produce electricity.....66%.

The coal industry loves electric cars.

All electric cars do is give you a warm fuzzy feeling at the gas pump, other then that there is nothing green about them.

I often wonder how the Tesla drivers get along as they recharge at the supercharger stations. As many as 12 identical cars lined up seems a bit strange.

It's like having school uniforms. Appreciate pretty soon we'll be marching down the street single file like good puppets.

And that they are cool as all get out. Stupid fast and that auto pilot is pretty slick. One of my clients bought one. Everyone I know who owns them, loves them. That truck is stupid though.

If I lived in a city or closer to one I'd love to drive one everyday. I just cant see the whole long distance thing yet.
