You want to bake your potatoes though cuz boiling them removes at least half the potassium.

Maybe if you became Jewish and had your food blessed by a rabbi, that would excise the demons that possess your food.

Re: High Blood Pressure

I feel for you boys with the BP problems. I guess I'm lucky to be able to eat whatever pleases me at the time, pour on the salt, yum, and have 110/70 BP. Could be a product of eating mainly organic foods, no fast food and no junk food.

I wish I could stay that low. That's bedtime pressure if I'm lucky. Only been on the Benicar about 11 days though

this thread scared the crap out of me.

i came home and checked....126/84

doc says i'm an anomaly....

in reality, i'm over weight, should quit drinking, smoking stogies, eating red meat and get some exercise.....

but my blood work & bp can't support his advice....

my wife says my mental age has a lot to do with it...

doc agreed with her....

her guess is i'm about 16 years old....

Irish, you can do it.

I quit chewing tobacco years ago.

You have to see how expensive it is.

You will never quit “after this pack.”

You have to buy a new pack (or can), have one smoke or dip, And throw the pack away, preferably destroying it. Seeing a brand new can poured into the toilet gives you power over it.

It gets frustrating when a dip costs you $5. And you have to go back to the store to buy another for $5 when you get mad.

Yes, it gets very expensive. That’s why it works.

Irish blood....there's only one way to get it down. About a bottle and a half of some good wine should do it

Re: High Blood Pressure

Just got home and it's Back down to 125/72. Scared the chit out of me last couple of days. Not because of the number but because it's been perfect for 7 straight months. The kidney disease is in remission and will never be gone completely.

Hard to describe. Feel pressure at a certain spot on the top of my skull. Not a headache but just a different feeling. As soon as I get it I know it's going to be up. Also get a little nauseous too.

My wife has high BP, always knows when it's high too. Complains of headaches and heart palpitations.

People with the right and low blood pressure have heart attacks too.

Re: High Blood Pressure

Just found out an interesting bit tonight.

Guy at church just had a pacemaker put in Friday. They had him wearing the halter monitor and it picked up when he was sleeping his heart would actually stop at short, but constant intervals.
When it stopped his BP went way up. I figured the opposite would happen but he told me no.
Aside from the obvious of keeping his heart from stopping, the cardiologist told him it would keep his BP regulated.
He told me during the day his BP was like 130/80, but when he was sleeping it would go up to 180.

Me myself, I'm like deckman, my normal is 108/60. I had a 120 reading once and couldn't believe she did the BP correctly.
