This growing old chit sucks. The list of 'can't do anymore' or 'shouldn't do anymore' gets longer every year.

To look back at some of the chit I used to do (when young), I shouldn't wonder why it is what it is now

He never says what's in it. Seems that would be important.

Re: High Blood Pressure

good news I'm in the 150's now after about 5 days of Benicar and a low sodium low fat diet. I have lost some weight but I still have more to go....it's amazing how much better you can move by shedding a mere 10 pounds.

This medicine agrees with me unlike that cheap snake venom but it's expensive hope I don't have to stay on it....about $225 @ month

Good news, except the price. Totally worth it to prevent damaging your kidneys, which feeds back into heart failure. A friend I hired as a painter had that problem, wound up on dialysis and eventually wound up dead.

The generic is about half that and from reviews I've read doesn't work as well. Even if I had Insurance guess which one they'd pay for? So much for insurance...huh? You freakin pay either way.

If you haven't done it, shop around. There can be major price differences between pharmacies in tbe same area.

Some people on long term meds find good deals on the internet.

Quit them cigs Irish! Your BP will go down 20 points. Get a vap machine if it's too hard to quit cold turkey.

The patches work well. and no! You wont fall over dead if you smoke while wearing it . Just as long as your not chain smoking .. wearing the patch and smoking 10 smokes a day is doable without feeling any side effects .

Take care of yourself Irish!

Re: High Blood Pressure

This is what I have been doing for a good while now,,
I peel the skin off the lemon ,, leave the pith- white part on cut into 1/4s and in the blender
2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
1 scoop of Organic Livfit superfood
˝teasp of baking soda
1 to 2 tbsp moringa power
1 tbsp local honey
add some water
I blend the chit outa it in the vita mixer and and down the gullet first thing in the morning fallowed by a glass of water.
it's some what nasty but it goes down fast and if you research each ingredient lots of good stuff in there.

I quit cold turkey. Was the only way I could do it. Trying to ween myself off of them did not work for me.

Been almost 5 years since our youngest daughter asked me to quit, I did it because she asked me to.

Irish, you can do it.

Re: High Blood Pressure

I smoked for 21 years, I quit 17 years ago. Went in the hospital to have my arm operated on, was in there 3 days and wasn't allowed to smoke. Got out and stayed stopped. Haven't looked back. So you can say I accidentally quit, however I quit never the less.
