Re: Hey, I Got A Question...

This aint Crickets fault, this just seems like one of those situations that wasnt planned for so there is no immediate answer.....

I always dreamed of having a job where I would never get a phone call on a weekend under any circumstances. Looks like I should of bought an internet forum instead of being a contractor

I agree it is not Crickets fault. Sorry you're caught in the middle of our last minute joy giving expedition Cricket.

All of you, stop whining. You want "corporate" to cover your "donation"? Someone throw up a pay pal email. I'll match the $50 x 2 offered earlier. So that puts us at 200 bucks!

I'm not sure who Juan is but letting him spoil Christmas as you guys claim is just an excuse. Put up or shut up.

I would also like to thank Cricket for coming to the front lines, on her day off, while sick no doubt.

Re: Hey, I Got A Question...

This all started with a simple question.

Actually it started before that. It started when I was lying down in the hospital.
A Mason came around asking if we needed anything, I said no and thanked him.
He said well I want you to have this card from one of our kids...

Just a Christmas card from a Kid who didn't know me from Adam but took the time and put in the effort to make someone he didn't know feel better..
I was really touched.
And It brought back to me what Christmas is about...

To tell the truth I am amaized at the response... I shouldn't be because I have been here a while. I know what kind of people are here.

Well God Bless Every One Of You..

You make me proud..

She's definitely a trooper. The fact she's sick and isn't supposed to be working and taking all this so her boss doesnt have to.

Here's to a raise for cricket, for at least $1400 a year.

I like Blacktop's idea. Let's take a breath and buy coats with it after Christmas. If need be we all get our points back and all redeem them for the gift cards and then ship the gift cards to Robie. If they want us to play by made up rules let's oblige.

Re: Hey, I Got A Question...

I can send Robie the money he can send me a few cards a week. Will that work? The problem is with Juan's Statement of renigging on the points rules. Isn't that false advertising?

Re: Hey, I Got A Question...

Ok.. we'll see what the "Powers That Be" say about all of this. Unlike most of the other people here, if it turns out that we can't do it this time, I won't be mad but I'll want all of my points back.

From a business perspective I can appreciate where the management/administration might be with this. If you figure that each $20 gift card costs 2000 points and Robie has a little more than 138,000 points, that comes out to 69 gift cards or almost $1400 in cash which CT.com probably does not have.

It would be one thing if we paid money to use this site.. then we would have a legitimate gripe. Part of the reason why we as contractors can honor misunderstandings in the favor of the customer is because we probably make enough money on that particular job to break even or at the least, we will make enough on the next job to offset the expense.

I imagine that because CT is free, CT operates on fixed resources from advertisers and are not in a position to honor all of the rewards entitlements at the same time.

I just had a few thousand points is all I know. I bet a lot of others have the same deal, no clue actual points. I say corporate does what they said they would do, if they're late then whatever but they should at least match the gift. Its their way of fixing a major screw up.

Robie keep my points even if they want to screw us, its a way to say thanks for your time. Now if anyone has that paypal let us know.

The sponsors are the customers and pay good money to be on here. I look at ourselves like employees. You shouldn't treat employees like this. I've always given my employees more then I promised.
