Like others said, prayers going out to you and yours. Keep us in the loop, even if it is to bitch and moan. We're all one happy, and mostly functional family.

2 weeks later i go see the oncologist he tells me what to expect chemo, radiation , wants to install a port, have a E.K.G. and a pet scan go see the radiologist and this may take a up to year but this is a survivable condition.

So sorry to hear the news, but glad to hear that it's a survivable condition...

Prayers from our family to yours for a year that will conclude cancer-free and combined with your positive outlook and humor, one that brings you all closer together...

Family and friends are always there for you, and thanks for letting your CT friends/family know about your news so we can share in the prayers for you and your family and expected good news in the future...

Me and my family will also pray for you Sunkist. I have a lot of friends and family who have been down that same road and are doing really well now. May God bless you in the same way.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

So sorry to hear about this, keep your head up and push through

Very sorry to hear that. Keep a positive attitude for a full recovery.

Dude, Sunkist.... You're only a hop skip and a jump away from me in Myakka City. Let's grab lunch. Ole lady already asked what can she make to make life easier?

This sucks. Prayers for sure, but let us help in person too if we can.

Wow, good luck and prayers for you and your family. A good friend of mine, a contractor, tough old coot, had throat cancer, lost his teeth, got a ton of radiation and lived and worked well up into his eighties. he was the only one who would come out with me to bushwack the property in Ramona; God I miss him!

Joasis 07-15-2017 08:17 AM

Thoughts and prayers from my way. Stay positive.

You're gonna beat this thing's ass! My aunt got stage 2 then stage 4 cancer in about 2 year span. She's been clear for 5 years and life is like it never happened.

Good luck, lots of positive energy being sent your way.

Jonbuild 07-15-2017 02:13 PM

God bless! Thoughts and prayers your way!!

Hang in there.
I know a guy from back in high school that had throat cancer.

Came through great and just talks with a little bit hoarseness.

I didnt want to click on the thread cause I knew it was going to be a blind sided scary thing. Sorry to hear about it, really.

We spend our while life looking to tomorrow then BAM something just blows apart your world. I do think there is truth to mind over matter so keep looking to tomorrow and take it serious but not as a sentence. Seriously

Hey folks, first off thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes, and a shout out to those for the PM's offering help.

I must say this the first PM with a offer of help came before the ink was dry on my post, no names but you never know who's hanging out in the basement with or with out working a/c :whistling.

So thanks to the generosity shown here on CT as the words in the song go "i will hang around as long as you will let me".

Quit smoking 7 years ago never chewed, doc says this cancer is caused by the H.P.V. virus and we all have it, and have no idea what triggers it to go rouge.

Tin, i live next to a church and i mean next, if i wanted to sleep any closer i would be sleeping on a pew .

So there is a small chance that i may need a feeding tube, the radiologist tells me my taste buds will get fryed and may or may not return  time will tell.

So because of the tube and taste bud thing, my wife is cooking rack of lamb, roast potatos, i have just taken some pain meds so i can chew and swallow heres hoping.

I will stop by this thread once in a while and give up dates, but i do not wish to turn this into the sunkist cancer blog.

Once again i want to say Thank You to all here on C.T.
