I believe he should be tried as a co-conspirator, found guilty of murder and put to death.

But I will let you have that they aren't "automatic" in the contemporary sense. But there were high capacity rapid fire weapons of the time and not all were hand cranked.

The Girandoni Air Rifle was not hand cranked.

Point being is that the 2nd amendment wasn't written by fools who thought gun technology wouldn't advance nor were they ignorant to the above weapons and their capacity and capability. In fact the Louis and Clarke expedition was equipped with the Girandoni Air Rifle.

If they hid out, were constrained by process and nowhere near the killer, he knew who to avoid... Concealed Carry negates his foreknowledge of who carries and increases the likelihood he would have been stopped earlier if he still the balls to take the chance...

You say evidently...what evidence do you have that they are working? I hope it's not correlation. You must have more than that.

It doesn't have to compare to be relational. Meaning our fore fathers weren't stupid and even wrote about weapon development. I already posted the weapons they had that weren't single fire muskets. The Girandoni Air Rifle fired a 46 caliber round that could put a whole clean through a 1" pine board at 100 yards.

You mean they were "allowed" to use weapons that could actually kill the person being shot?

The he** you say...

You don't look forward to answer that question but back. When in history was an unarmed citizenry not under the thumb of a tyrannical gov't? When did a peaceful state become more peaceful as a result of the gov't removing guns?

Did I miss anything? I had to step out and shoot a groundhog

Edit: he was trying to undermine the foundation of my chicken coop

You should buy your groundhog meat so then no animal will have to suffer..

I can go out and buy an semi-auto rifle today and pick it up in 24 hours.

You have to take a safety course or test and wait 28 days. The restrictions on your long rifles (prohibited and restricted) is nothing like ours. Yes we have some laws here and there that restrict certain aspects, but by in large it's not close to being the same.
I can walk out with a hand gun or rifle, hell even an AR the same day I pay for it. Fill out a yellow background sheet & done.

My meaning of that is what would be so terrible if we were citizens of England?
The reason(s) we revolted was mostly about taxation without representation, we have that here in the good old USA!

Ok let me guess , judging from your position on the 2nd amendment, Iím going to guess you , would think it would be better in the UK because, they have universal health care. Imma right? Oh yeah , they have rather strict gun control laws also. What else ?

If I need to explain to you why the USA is the greatest nation ,to ever exist on this globe, Iím going to bet youíre one of those that think America was never great.

Thatís okay brushman , and Iíll tell you why . This is America
The constitution guarantees you the right to free speech . It also guarantees rights , you may choose not to exercise .

It does not give you the right to choose the ones I exercise. Capiche

That's a gross over simplification of the revolution.

That's what it started out as but was a small aspect of it... but on that point, as you can see, we have periods where the checks and balances swing back... in fact, a good portion of our population not only doesn't pay federal taxes but actually get more back in taxes...

England doesn't have our constitution established to start with to enforce ... our form of government (co-equal branches of government) is unique...

England is a sixth the size in population and their GDP is a ninth the size of our GDP... Their form of government couldn't handle what the USA established and they could never overcome it despite being the economic center at the time...

Having England attempt to run the USA would truly be a tail-wags-the dog scenario... they'd have no idea what to do... if in some way it came to pass, it would become just like their monarchy is... siphoning off money from the population without giving much in return...
