So what's up? The Second Amendment doesn't apply in NJ? Are y'all a separate nation or something? What gives?

Re: Good CCW Info Site

If i can prove i carry large amounts of cash , and can document bank deposits and withdrawls, i might be able to get one here in the people's republik of marylandistan.

For now i have to make do with florida and utah non resident permits, and ccw in friendly states like PA and VA.

Around my home state i have to rely on my rape whistle. And my two kershaws. And my flaslight with strike bezel. And a ku baton.

I like the quote in your sigline btw.

Jefferson is amazing. He captures with words, patriotism; succinctly.

In my heart and mind, I shall support and defend our Nation, as defined by Our Constitution, with my life, and even my death, if required. When I see anti-Constitution people in positions of power, I am obliged to oppose, resist and restore. So far it is all peaceful and with words alone.

If they take action, in the form of violence, against Our nation -

Re: Good CCW Info Site

People kill people not guns. Heck our state joined Vermont to no longer require CCW permits. Still can get them for heading to the lower 48. I took the class for the educational benefits of it. We are also allowed to come to the assistance to help others. I just dont understand why all states do not adopt this phlisophy. Honest people with a gun are ,and giving the way things are going, will be the first line of defense in the future. I carry a weapon at work because it is required of me so I'm use to have a sidearm with me. Not to dish anyone but man some state are just way to regulated for me. What ever happen to Lincoln's statement of - "...Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth."

I worry about what my kids will have to put up with in the future. Wish we had some leadership in the country that will take the bull by the horns and set things right. Opps sorry will get off soap-box.

Va, Pa, and De resisdents with CCW, and are interested in reciprocy w/ maryland, should really pay attention to SB52 this year. We could use all the letters and testimony we can get.

I believe in the right to carry but some people really shouldn't carry a gun. I'd say 90% of those who apply for a permit really shouldn't carry one.

No. 2A is a really dirty word in NJ.

It is so improbable and/or impossible to get a carry permit in NJ that no one even bothers applying. The only way you can get a carry permit is if you are a BIG celebrity and even that is dicey.

In NJ, the only way I can take my guns out of my house is to carry them unloaded, in a locked case, in a separate compartment in the vehicle (ie the trunk).

I have several LEO friends that CAN carry because they are LEOs and they won't because they are afraid of lawsuits and BS should they actually brandish for a real situation. No joke. That's how bad NJ is.

Give me statistics showing the number of legal gun owners, with carry permits, after having passed background checks, and state mandated training that cause problems.

I believe in the right of free speech but some people should keep quiet. I'd say 90% of those that have opinions should keep them to themselves.

(i'm not trying to be rude, i just want to you to see how absurd your statement is within the context of constitutional rights)

Re: Good CCW Info Site

Sure glad I live in rural Missouri. Guns are very much a tradition in this part of the world. Heck, we can still legally still carry our guns in the back window on a gun rack if we so choose. In my truck, I can have a loaded handgun concealed legally. The castle doctrine not only applies to my home, but also to my vehicle.
