Re: The GOAT

Dont look now but Brady cleaned out his suite where Gisele watched the games. Supposedly moved out of Boston as well.

McDaniels didnt go anywhere and the Bucs think Jameis wants too much money and already know they will be paying top dollar for a QB. Godwin gets re-signed along with Perriman. Plenty of cap space. Coach who's known for reviving old QBs careers. Pass happy offense. The place where everyone in the Northeast comes to retire. 2 years left on the coaches contract and a GM that was responsible for some of the big moves that brought Brady super big weapons. Relatively low cost of living. Warm January. No income tax.

Opportunity to groom a young QB (taken late in the draft just like a certain 6th rounder...) and then slide into being his offensive coordinator? Highest paid offensive line. A significantly improved defense. In perfect position to draft a great offensive tackle and a great pass catching RB in the 2nd or 3rd round (looking at you Edwards-Helaire).

There are too many hindrances for the others. He wont want to work with Gruden and they have Carr. Indy signed a large-ish 2 year deal with Brissett. LA is twice as expensive to live in and has a ****ty o-line, best offensive weapon is free agent. No one wants to go to Cleveland and Mayfield still has a couple years on his rookie deal. Miami is a possibility but they arent ready to win now, (Bucs had only two games where they lost by two scores despite 7 pick sixes this year). The Panthers are in rebuild mode. Chicago is married to their QB.

It makes perfect sense. Hes coming to Tampa.

I feel like I should be getting odds if we start going over a buck and a half.

You should be getting odds if you expect the greatest quarterback who's ever played the game to come to Tampa Bay. Lol.

My wife and I go to Ruth's Chris on occasion and I think the bill is usually around a buck and a half. But then again, I guess I consume the lions share of that meal.

How do we do odds then? Not that I need them. The steak dinner is straight up. I'm good with that but I'm not much of a gambler so I wont be upping it any.

You're forgetting one big factor. Why the f**k would Tom Brady want to live in Tampa?

Re: The GOAT

He moved to Greenwich CT, his son lives in NYC. The commute from Brookline (heart of Boston) to Foxboro (45 away from Boston without traffic) is insane. I never understood why he lived there.

All the news is reporting is the suite was cleaned, more than usual. I think he has some issue with the pats and is just showing he's not a guarantee after all he's done for the team.

He may leave, we will see. Can we please stop listing to these reports looking for nothing more than ratings? I don't see a team appealing enough for him to leave Foxboro, but the Pats truly never air dirty laundry so time will tell.

Re: The GOAT

Why would he linger around with a dirty suite and no contract, etc? That would likely get a "charity offer" from the Pats to resign, if they're even interested. (Belickick showed his cards in that lengthy response on Brady returning...I took it to mean they're going to play hardball...maybe.)

Because hes old.

Old people live in Tampa.

Then they get really old.

And they move to Naples.

Then they die.

It's the circle of life, Eric. I'll see ya in a couple decades, we're close in age... I'll keep the shuffleboard court warmed up for you.
