The GOAT

Is coming to Tampa.

Sorry JBM, it's happening. We have everything he needs.

I know he has till March to sit in Bostons ****ty winter before he realizes he doesnt want to deal with that nonsense or the high state income tax, but he'll be coming here.

Best WR duo, two of the best pass catching tight ends, expensive o-line, up and coming D, a solid rising star of a 3rd as slot WR, a coach that revives qb careers, pass happy offense, warm weather year round, no state income tax, and plenty of cap room expecting to pay 27 mill (5 more than this year for Brady) for a qb. And most of all, able to prove he made Bellichick, and not Bellichick made him...

Book it. The Bucs are getting the GOAT and going to get another Lombardi Trophy. A big time RB and we're balling this year...

Saw the title, thought we were going to be discussing the first muscle car. It was created by John DeLorean.

When shall you learn my friend, that I am basically mechanically inept?

I mean I can do mechanical things, but I dont have much background in it.

Let's see if they'll pony up to keep him. 50/50 odds, I think.

Not as much to do with knowing mechanics as it was with being an icon in the automotive industry.

A tad before your time.

Yep, it was. I'm not much for one about history of vehicles. Awesome that some do, just not my thing.

I'm glad I grew up with so many things that kids today have no clue about.

That's cool you're happy with when you grew up.

Now, any thoughts on Brady or not so much?

Re: The GOAT

I think he could do the most damage in Chicago. Their defense is brutal and they've got weapons on offense. IMO they were a Trubisky away from winning that division, despite their late rally.

Tom Brady will retire when he's done with the Patriots.

Sure, but what if they're done with him first?

Unsatisfactory contract negotiations have a way of making a guy want to prove himself. They may wait until he explores the other offers, then lowball him to stay since he's old.

I think he'll retire regardless of the circumstances.

Re: The GOAT

With what he was playing with in terms of TE's and WR's, he was amazing this year. He's still better than at least half the QB's in the league. Why not play until you're 50 if you can keep that up?

TB recently bought a house in Greenwich, wonder if he's going to step back and spend the time watching his kids grow?

I dunno, man. Arians came and said he wasnt going to come out of retirement. Bucs were like 6-2 their last 8 games. They lost (I think) only 2 games by more than 1 score. They brought Seattle into ot in Seattle.

That's with a terrible defense in the beginning of the season and Jameis "pick 6" Winston. They came on strong at the end of the year. Their defense started to look really good. Run D is lights out. Their offense puts up crazy numbers.

When the Bucs were good in the late 90's and early 2000's a lot of people were looking to sign with them. They always got the number 1 free agents even while paying a little less. We kept that core defense for a loooong time.

I think it's a real possibility, if the Chargers dont re-sign Rivers that's another real possibility cause he's from Cali but I'm not so sure they could pay him enough. Really, those are the Bucs and Chargers are the only ones that make a lot of sense. He wants to go until 45, so he's got 3 years, that's a perfect time to trade a couple draft picks this year to move to number 10 and pick up one of the top 3 qb's and groom him under Brady and Arians. I guess Indy could try for him as well but Brisset is still under contract I think.

We'll see but he's already said he's not retiring and I think he's done with the Pats.
