Getting Drunk

Has some serious repercussions. I forgot how bad it feels the next day after drinking too much.

Unlucky me, I've never had a hangover - I'm missing a liver enzyme. The most that happens is I wake up drunk...

Re: Getting Drunk

I'm not drunk, I'm from Wisconsin (out drinking your state since 1848)

Don't get hangovers if you don't get drunk... tho think I've had some near death experiences after 20-30 drinks/shots

You don't process stuff as well, so it makes the liver work harder. If I have too much fun for too long, I'll jaundice. It can just be from fatty foods. A doctor figured it out years ago, but it kicked my butt for about a year or so before it was figured out.

So I guess your forced to behave yourself Hdavis. Thats good and bad. I heard this week they found sweet drinks like soda or fruity drinks are linked to fatty liver thanks to corn syrup. Getting tougher to take care of ourselves everyday.

I don't usually get drunk but when I do I tend to do dumb things, enough for me to consider installing a breathalyzer on my tool box.

The furthest thing from my mind if I'm drinking is....work and my tools.

Re: Getting Drunk

Seamed like as soon as I turned 30 my hangovers went from 4-8 hours to 2-3 days. I don't know if it's because I get less practice, or my age. Just glad my drinking days are pretty much over and wished I could get the money back that I pissed away in my 20's....

Apparently I though it would be funny to install a deadbolt on the fridge.

Re: Getting Drunk

I've wasted so many good fishing days writhing in bed with a hangover. I don't drink a lot anymore, so it doesn't take much to get me hungover. I also don't smoke, unless I'm out at the bar, which really just makes things a lot worse the next day.

All I remember is the end results the bolt was held in with duct tape from a reciprocating saw hole, and for some reason I mounted the bolt in the middle of the fridge.

We had a cat with something like that, and the main thing I learned from the experience is that you can spend an unbelievable amount of money on vet bills for a free kitten.

Re: Getting Drunk

I'd guess not enough practise. I don't really get hangovers, just a little grumpier the next day, but no headache or upset stomach
