You'll have to PM tenon0774 to see it. It's burnt into my vision but I'm not going to try to explain it.

Disclaimer: I haven't used any of these in a long time.

-Stretch plastic wrap tight over the toilet and then put the seat down.

-Screw a sheet of plywood over the door frame to the shop bathroom after someone goes in.

-Glue a Mentos to a piece of string and then hold it over the opening of a somebody's Coke bottle and screw the cap on tight to hold it. When they unscrew it the Mentos falls in and KABOOM. It helps if they've drank at least 1/4 of the bottle.

-I once lifted a port-a-john with a telehandler when a guy was in it and left for lunch. He was a real dick that used to throw crap at me when I was a laborer. The foreman didn't say a word about it.

Back the truck up to a porter potty when someone you "like" in there and go out for a long lunch someplace...

Re: Favorite Prank To Pull

A guy once told me how he went out with a bang. He told his employer (whom he definitely didn't like) that he was quitting by pushing over the Porta potty with his boss in it. Not how I would have handled it but it's funny to hear someone else do it.

Re: Favorite Prank To Pull

I once worked with another crew and the one guy had really stinking shoes. They were the only pair he had and he wore them working, fishing, wet, dry. He made decent money so it wasn't like he couldn't afford a new pair, he would rather just drink. After warning him about his smelly shoes and telling him to get some new ones because nobody could stand to work in the same room with him we were able figure out his shoe size. Went to Walmart that night and bought him a cheap pair of sneakers but didn't tell him about it. The next morning on the loading dock 3 of us jumped him, told him he had been warned, took his shoes to the parking lot poured paint thinner on them and set them on fire. The pour guy was almost in tears. We let him sweat it out for a bit before we gave him his new shoes. He kept from letting things get so smelly after that.

A buddy of mine was Navy and had that happen to a bunk mate.

Except it was he who smelled, not his shoes. They said he never took a shower.

And instead of dousing and burning him they ambushed him, stuck a pillowcase on his head, drug him to the showers, beat him with soap filled pillowcases, scrubbed him (gently, I'm sure) with wire brushes and politely asked him to please bathe more than twice a year.

Re: Favorite Prank To Pull

Put a piece of wire or a nail on the door for the porta johns. We did this to a coworker once in the morning and we forgot about him until lunch time when we someone asked where he was at. We found him sleeping and he told us he was screaming for us, but with a loud screenplant and crusher near by we never heard him.

When someone is sitting in the pooper drop a boulder in the air hole on the roof. Makes for a lot of paperwork!

Just skidding I've never done that!

Re: Favorite Prank To Pull

Does it have to be work related? I haven't done this since high school, but I still get a laugh out of it.

Just did this a day or two ago with a new young painter on our crew. As i walked out of the bathroom, knowing he was working right outside the door, i said to no one "man that feels better".

Back when I worked on a road crew we used to take a roll of surveyor ribbon and tie it to the rear axle of people’s trucks. Then you leave the roll on the axle and watch them drive away.
