No I am not, you want to drag your political views, slander an attacks into this, start a new thread in the P&R section. You can speculate, accuse, pander, attack, whatever you want there.

I am pushing the fact that we should have a little compassion for those who are injured or dead here.

You can spew your rhetoric and propaganda in the correct section of the forum.

No different the the Sandy Hook stuff, that was instantly turned into conspiracy theories, instead of someone actually being concerned for the people and family's it affected.

Re: Explosion At Boston Marathon

Just a quick note from the staff:

This thread will stay where it is for now. If we move it to the P&R section, some of the newer members who don't have access will simply start a replacement.

Just please guys, it's OK to vent but watch the name calling and political end of this.

It will help us deal with this from the back room.

Much appreciated!

And this just SUCKS!

All i can say is that i find it very odd that around the same time as the blasts there was a "fire " at the library that is supposedly not related to the blasts..

Boston cell phones are shut down. We had some cell problems up here in a certain town as well, don't know about the rest.

Re: Explosion At Boston Marathon

Of all the big cities I have ever visited, Boston is the stand out favorite IMO. Great city.

As a trained first responder (in my previous life), the Boston PD and FD appears to have handled this situation with textbook accuracy. Very impressive.

Sad to hear that one of the dead might be a little kid.

Sad for any noncombatant to get killed.
"XX people killed, including children". Children are people too.

Sorry, just get annoyed with some things.

When an enemy commits a violent act, part of the natural reaction is to be shocked. But that helps the enemy.

When an IED goes off....you should acknowledge it....check your people.....report it (BFT or voice).....and immediately move out of the killbox - TOWARD WHEREVER YOU UNDERSTAND THE INDIVIDUAL(S) are who might present the threat.

There is no time and no value in allowing oneself to wallow in emotions that aren't doing anything to help secure the area or tend to the wounded.

I guess none of you see where I am coming from. No prob. But thanks for showing your true colors.

So political silence = compassion?

What are you doing to be compassionate? Spectating quietly?

My stance right now is to take a deep breath, watch the news updates, continue learning the whereabouts of friends, distant family, etc. and to quietly grieve/show sorrow for those who are hurting right now.

You never said you're happy this happened or that you're laughing about it. I get what your point is, it's just my opinion that many following this board aren't ready to move past compassion/grief/sorrow/anger and into the next stage of consequences/president reaction/conspiracy. That will come very soon, if not tomorrow as it's already here with you and a few others. Me...I'm just selfishly happy those around me were spared today and that's the ONLY thing that matters tonight.

Re: Explosion At Boston Marathon

With so little information I will keep my political view on this to myself.

As for the victims and there families my hart and prayers go out to them

I think I'll pull close to my wife and kids tonight. Hoping this is not just the beginning?

Is the war we were thrown into 12 years ago now back on our ground?

Or do we have a new enemy?

Remember people we are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

It should not take a tragedy of this nature to remind us of that...

Wallmaxx,

You are evaluating & reacting to a situation from a combat perspective, recovering & converting to an offensive position.

Most individuals will never be in this position or understand it without experiencing it.

Just remember we are all on the same TEAM....
