Re: Eff Starbucks

Unfortunately I didn't get one of the good back-to-the-wall seats so now everybody in line can potentially read the drivel I'm typing right now.

It's hard out here for the guy who couldn't book consecutively timed sales calls.

Re: Eff Starbucks

My understanding is that most Starbucks and other lock their bathrooms now because of the bums using them as showers, baths, crap and piss everywhere but in the toilet, personal space for shooting up and so forth. This makes the bathrooms unsuitable for everyone else who actually bought something.

An undisclosed number of Starbucks have now added Transgender bathrooms for those that can't decide which gender they are. However, since putting in these third bathrooms, the sinks are now outside the baths. This cuts down on the bum factor.

Sometimes I will park my truck outside of a Deli Liquor store to go see my motorcycle mechanic at his place across the street. Parking is really limited, so the Deli is about the only place to park. If I park there for any length of time, I will go in and get something, usually a sandwich for lunch.

A banana is $1 at Starbucks. If the baths are locked and for customers, get a banana and you're in. The scenario was, the baths were locked, these guys were hanging out with no intention of buying anything, taking up chairs and tables that are used by buying customers. They asked to use the restrooms, but they were denied (not buying anything). They refused to leave. The PD arrived and asked them to leave 3 times, they refused. Then they were arrested by PD.

Re: Eff Starbucks

I read an article with an interesting perspective on this. Long story short, Starbucks shouldn't have to be the ones providing bathrooms for general use, but they are. Cities should be paying to maintain public bathrooms as a public service, but they aren't.

It's crazy that something so basic and necessary for everyone is left to private enterprise. It's similar over here - McDonalds has recently started putting keycodes on their receipts for the bathroom. And you see a lot of public bathrooms where you have to pay to cover maintenance, particularly at train stations.

Re: Eff Starbucks

I walked into a restroom at a discount lumberyard that a dude just destroyed. I'm sure it was the guy leaving the one stall RR as I walked in.

Toilet seat up, poo splattered/sprayed on it, on the floor in front of it, and on the wood lined walls of the corner in which it sits. It had to be intentional. Think of a can of drywall texture set to heavy, colored like baby poo, and sprayed for ten seconds.

I turned around and notified the manager. In hindsight, I should have blocked the perpetrator and told him to clean it up.

I don't think he was a customer, he looked homeless (oops, did I just profile?)

And we wonder why restrooms are locked and limited to customers.....

People like that are the ones that need to be arrested.

Sounds like vandalism to me. In commiefornia the homeless are allowed to vandalize anything they want up to and including human life. Bonus if the homeless are illegal aliens.

WHAT?!...

.
Starbucks Exec Schultz: Bathrooms Open To Everyone After 2 Black Men Arrested... http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/201...athrooms-open/

"Schultz’s said the policy and the decision by the Philadelphia store manager last month were “absolutely wrong in every way.” Starbucks has since apologized to the men and announced plans for extra racial bias training for its employees.

Schultz said the company is changing its policy because it wants everyone to feel welcome. He went on to say, however, that Starbucks does not want to become a public restroom."
.
Can't have it both ways...

Can someone please remind me why this is actually "a thing" that needs to be hashed out?

Re: Eff Starbucks

I don't either.

Of course, it took me months to figure out what MAGA meant. I'm a bit slow on the uptake at times.

Nope. I've been fully on the train once he got serious.

For some reason, I just didn't get the memo.

There is an audio recording of the word Laurel from dictionary.com.

When it is played, some people can hear the word Laurel. Others hear the word yanny.
