Now i guess we are boring - probably don't go out more than once a month to eat, like our food better, and shed rather take the camper somewhere for the weekend than stay in a hotel and go to resteraunts to eat.

We both pretty much always would rather stay with the kids than go out alone.

Getting old I guess lol

One thing not to do... Don't get her a crockpot. Just sayin'... I heard that was a bad idea.

Ok, I hear it every year that it was a bad idea. The vacuum cleaner was as well.

A crockpot isn't as bad as an elliptical machine or a stair master......

Instead of buying a card to send to my wife, I hand wrote a note in calligraphy script, mailed it to her this morning.

Classy and a great idea...

So my wife threw a wrench into my plans... as I mentioned earlier in the thread, she arranged us to babysit on Valentines Day, so I was going to surprise her the day before... so she tells me yesterday that she made plans with her lady group on that day...

So now I'm trying to re-arrange things for tomorrow and over the next couple of days... makes me wonder though if I called her friends and got them in on it to pretend their dinner was on but I would should up instead, would she be disappointed or happy?...

You got balls to try something like that dude. My ole ladies mom's group is on Thursdays which happens to be Valentine's day. If I interrupted that, I'd be walking straight into the Lions Den.

No ****ing way I'd do that, I'd go in thinking I'm a hero and leave neutered

Don't interrupt Mom's group... That's code for, I'm checking out for a few hours.

Although I could take a page out of Jaws' book and have flowers arranged on her table where they go to eat. Then I'm a hero because I didn't show up but made her look good

Good looking out guys. Great session...

Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is one of those days where you can eat what you want and no one can really judge you for it! Those bacon roses look especially delicious

Re: Do You Celebrate Valentine's Day?

Letís see. I got flowers and cards for all my girls. I got no dinner and a pile of dishes. I told my wife all I wanted was for her to pick up the dog puke. Donít think she did though. I think the dog picked it up. Recycle. Iím already looking forward to next year to see if we can top this year.

Re: Do You Celebrate Valentine's Day?

It depends on the year.

I prefer to make my cards when I do them.

This year I made her one of her favorite dinners. I often prefer this over going out, better food, less $, and our own amenities.
