I worked for a guy years ago who said "if you're fat....you aren't f***in' enough

Rach is saying she's gonna have a husband with a six pack... I laughed and asked her when she plans on divorcing me cause those days are long behind us

It will be interesting though. Today all I've eaten was steak and eggs this morning and chicken wings for dinner. Yesterday was ribeye steak and chicken thighs. Tomorrow morning is hard boiled eggs and bacon in the morning, rest of chicken wings from tonight and maybe some salmon. I've got a decent meal plan but I keep thinking about asparagus , potatoes, corn, green beans, tortillas. It's like getting the best part but missing that little extra that makes it magnificent.
anti-inflammatory is what i am looking at closely.

arthritis & injured joints....don't want constant meds.

i have been noticing that i feel better when i eat meat (beef, fish, poultry, pork or lamb) & limit the carbs.

in also know limiting/reducing carbs will help with weight loss.

pasta & potatoes are the tough ones for me to stay away from...

Deckhead if you're fat at your age you're really gonna have a problem when you hit 55 or so.

Better find out what's going on now

I couldn't eat that much as you...no way

Do people even read replies anymore or just go in guns a'blazin with assumption?

Maybe.

I've also seen the evidence that it helps joints, which as I've been saying from the beginning, is what I'm doing it for.

Pasta and taters aren't much of a problem for me but I love bread. White bread.

If loosing weight is the goal, the best exercise one can do is exercise their elbows..........and push themselves away from the table.

I'll let you know how I feel in a week. It's kinda weird thinking I gotta get lunch and thinking about wings instead of a sammich

I'm not too worried about weight. I'm in pretty good shape. 6' and hover around 190. I used to be big into lifting weights but haven't done much in a long time.

The main goal isn't to get ripped up or anything it's to kind of shock my body into a state of things I know I can process. I get a messed up digestive system and my back just kills me and sometimes goes full fledged locked up. This is supposed to keep the inflammation down to helpfully make it feel a little better. Doctor didn't seem to think it was a horrible idea. He said after 6 weeks my body will be accustomed to it and to then start adding in other foods.

It'll be interesting because I don't really eat carbs anyhow. So far so good. I will still have a glass of bourbon the ole lady got me and a beer or two here and there and supposedly most think that fine. Wife wanted tacos for dinner and I said... Guess I'm getting ground beef for dinner
Turn it into a taco salad.

Nah....I don't like it too much.

There have been nights when a couple of good hearty slices of bread, some great sharp cheese and unsalted butter...cup of coffee, has been dinner.

Can't eat vegetables which ironically is the thing I'm craving the most.

I couldn't give a **** less about the carbs, I really want lettuce, peppers, asparagus, green beans, peas, pinto beans, boiled peanuts, and onions right now.

I'm a big wing guy myself. I like them baked real hot first then grilled. Fried makes them soggy if not eaten right away and not very good for reheating.

I will say there's something to the fatty meats to stay energized. I was gassed today after doing almost nothing very physical and only eating chicken for 24 hours. Snotty nose too but I'm not sure if that's a cold going around or my body trying to acclimate.

As soon as I ate some fatty meat I felt better. So tomorrow I'm loading up on eggs and bacon in the morning. Salami and cheese for lunch and a ribeye tomorrow night.

The thing I'm realizing is you really can't snack, like... at all. No pickles, no nothing but maybe some cheese. The fatty meat cuts do help. I do feel pretty good so far though I haven't felt any difference in back pain yet. My gut feels amazing though. It just feels, I don't really know how to explain it, but "clean".

I met with my Doc today and he said it will take at least a week to feel a difference. He said a day or two I'll feel like **** this week because my body will try to switch from it's normal to a new normal.

He was saying that I'm a pretty ideal candidate to try this and was pretty excited. He gave me some list of things to try doing and joked with me about how I'll be the best grill master ever after it's done. Supposedly I should be eating Ribeyes or hamburgers once a day... I'm okay with that...
