If that was an old Bugs Bunny cartoon we would all be howling. So I figure that is the comedy we are trying to see in it.

I would be embarrassed if my diesel smoked like that

Come to LBI for a week next summer and take a look at what I have to deal with every summer.
And it gets worse every year!
Are the cyclists in LBI annoying because they flaunt the rule of the of road (all too common) or because of their sheer numbers?

If they don't know how to ride responsibly, something should be done. Maybe they should be ticketed.

In any case "vigilantism" is not the answer.

Amen! That would be a hoot cruising up and down the boulevard... Stop over seaside heights also and smoke out snookie, that little drunk porker!

The driver is a moron. This was made abundantly clear when he smoked the workers on the side of the road too.

Re: Diesel Truck Vs Bicyclist.....

I didn't find that funny to be honest. I'm in an area where there are lots of roadies and I don't have an issue with how they ride. It's very rare to see these kind of riders even 2 wide because they normally slipstream/draft each other. The ones I have problem with are the people who go into dicks or a sporting store and buy a $200 bike and then decide they are going to ride into on coming traffic! Who ever taught these people how to ride a bike on a road need a good punch in the head.

Re: Diesel Truck Vs Bicyclist.....

I used to ride a lot. I always thought it was stupid beyond belief to treat them like a car on a road. Youre more like a pedestrian than a vehicle on a bike. Youre not much faster or more visible than someone on foot, and for it to be illegal to ride on sidewalks is crazy. Of course some bikerhave ruined that. The same ones that ride three abreast on higways blocking up traffic im sure...

Re: Diesel Truck Vs Bicyclist.....

As a cyclist, I agree asshole cyclists are annoying, and I call them out when I see them.

Most casual riders are just unaware/uneducated.

When I am on the road riding through town, I have no problems maintaining speed limit/traffic flow speed, so I ride right in the lane, WHERE I CAN BE SEEN!

When I can't keep up, I ride as far to the right as safely possible. Our shoulders are **** here, and road debris is a serious hazard, and sidewalks are for pedestrians. (something to keep in mind when you see a cyclist in the traffic lane-sometimes we just have no choice).

I'm 12-1 in incidents involving vehicles, and if I was part of that ride, I garan-damn-tee you I would go 13-1.

Being a douchebag just for the sake of being a douchebag deserves retribution, IMHO.

My favorites are the ones that likje to "door" cyclists. I weight 250 pounds. My bike is another 30, and on flat ground, I have no trouble getting up 30+mph. You want to door me? Go ahead....open that door. I DARE you.

Yeah he would of. Unless someone broke the rules of etiquette and jumped the double and went right to the triple. I've seen it... its not pretty, but I've seen it.

Re: Diesel Truck Vs Bicyclist.....

That guy is a loser. The bikes were off on the shoulder doing nothing wrong. I see around my house where about 25 of them ride 3 wide on roads without shoulders and it's hard to get by them. I still don't smoke them because it's just not the right thing to do. This guy is just wasting a lot of fuel smoking that much.
