At flex? Not even close. Stop elective surgeries and that plummets.

Many are starting to suggest stopping elective surgeries. Locally, we have like 150 or so beds with 30 some left. Less than a quarter are from covid.

100's of beds in general left in my county.

Whaaaa? We're talking about ICU capacity due to Covid patients.

Nobody goes to the ICU for elective surgeries (unless it got
botched).

At least 56 Florida ICUs have run out of beds for coronavirus patients, and 35 more have said their bed availability has dropped to 10 percent or lower. The news comes as Florida recorded more than 7,300 new coronavirus cases, 380 new coronavirus hospitalizations, and 63 more deaths from the infection.

They never say why the ICU's are full do they. They imply covid but never come out and say it. The hospitals were empty of normal procedures because they reserved all the hospitals for covid. Now all the normal procedures and emergency procedures are flooding in. They tried to pull the same BS in Texas and the CEOs from 4 large hospitals came out and said only 25% of the people in the ICUs tested positive for covid but that wasn't why they were in there, they just tested positive. ICUs normally operate at 85% capacity so being full isn't something unusual.

And if it were all covid numbers you don't think they'd be screaming it from the highest mountain tops?

Re: Covid Treatments

I guess masks don't work in California...

California could release up to 8,000 prisoners to prevent coronavirus spread, officials say... https://www.foxnews.com/us/californi...rs-coronavirus
Federal guidelines allow for 10 or less people to gather without masks... most prison cells hold less than that, not to mention you'd think that'd be one environment where they could actually control the populations use of masks...

Now the next question is... why do they need to be released to prevent caronavirus spread if masks work and what about the guards?

Re: Covid Treatments

In order to be incarcerated in California one really has to screw up, it's not easy to get a jail sentence here so that's another 8,000 predators being let loose upon the normal people here while at the same time these ahole politicians are trying all the time to reduce our ability to defend ourselves.
