Country Roads By Apalachee Falls

I'm always up to check out new mash up style music. I think Country and Rap, if done right, can sound smooth. See Nelly's addition to the Florida Georgia Line's Cruise. That song is obviously heaving polished and mainstream.

This song (a different take on John Denver's classic), has this unique sound that makes me want to grab my fishing pole and head for Georgia.

Check it out, 12 million views.

PHUCK NO SUCKS.

Record producers and companies are at it again, Morons. I'm all about fusion, cross over but once again Country has lost it's soul. Like it did back in the mid 90's. Got so terrible I switched to "Smoooothe JAzzzz" for decade.

Thank the Good Lord for KHYI here in Dallas. Americana and both kinds of country ROTFL.

Country and rap are antithetical. No thanks.

Tough room

When it comes to music, I'm pretty easy going. You could put on Killswitch Engage, Britney Spears, The Isley Brothers or Young Buck, Linkin Park, The Four Tops... I like all kinds of music from all decades.

I appreciate that people are out there making music they love. Some styles might not be my taste, but I can respect the craft and their efforts.

Regarding this version, just a couple guys having fun embracing who they are...probably from a town of about 93 people. I liked it.

Yup...I agree.
It's not something I would buy or listen to but I an appreciate the talent and effort.

My Dad thought the Beatles music was pretty weird.

I think Eminem's "music" is pretty weird.

Sure. Different strokes for different folks. What makes the world great, that we aren't all identical. Oddly enough I like both the Beatles and Eminem, lol.

Hard to pick my favorite song of all time is probably Stand By Me by Ben E King...and I'm only 34. Still a classic to this day.

Re: Country Roads By Apalachee Falls

Country Roads song by John Denver is kind of special to me as the writers of the lyrics were travelling to a family reunion, and were travelling through my home town area. The road they were on, I took to school everyday.

We had to travel that road to get to the closest grocery store. Back then it was about 7 miles to the A&P.

If so inclined, search Country Roads Origin.

As far as the band in the op, I'm sure they have good intentions but they really butchered up the song...I liked the guitar into though.

Re: Country Roads By Apalachee Falls

I'm fairly easy going on music as well, the music on my phone ranges from hank williams jr, to breaking benjamin, but country rap is where I draw the line.

I like country, and I can tolerate rap, but mix the two? No thanks

Re: Country Roads By Apalachee Falls

Yup, I like that song too. Guitarist is the same guy from the group I posted at the top too. Recognize his face, but he has the same config and playing style. Both groups are covered in Bulldog gear, probably from the same town!

Re: Country Roads By Apalachee Falls

Country and rap, so I guess you could call it Crap? I personally don't like country much at all and the only rap I can listen to, is the old school stuff from the 70's and early 80's.
