Re: Contractor Talk Dream Team?

For starters I would love to work with...

FJN...There is so much as Mason can learn from Fred.

Blacktop!.. I would love to work with him a while...What a blast that would be!

Jaws...I'm always so impressed with the way he does business...

All the Masons on the Mason forums...

Dommas
JBM
Superseal
Stonecutter
Bytor

...you guys are experts at our trade...and I would really love to work with you all a while.

These are just a few that pop in my mind right away. I love CT and I think how great it would be to get to work ya'll

Are you kidding? From what I've seen, everyone here has at least an interesting take on a phase, whether it's marketing, sales, design, build, all the subs, etc. I'd have a shorter list of ones I wouldn't want to work with - I'd even like to see what Tipi's world is like and how the Alberta guys handle the cold.

I was fortunate last year to meet a few members of another forum in person. They were fantastic people. I would love to someday be able to meet a lot of folks here as well.

Ditto!

I've now worked with many locals I met here. I figure anyone who comes home after a rough day and stays somewhat in work mind enough to post here is serious about what they do. I was right!

We've had one "official" Chicago area meet up and even 480 Sparky drove in from Iowa.

Anyone who is serious about their business or trade enough to post here after or during work and help others with ideas is on my list of people I want to meet and work with. (I ended that sentence with a preposition )

I have to say, there have been some short timers (few posts and gone) I'd like to work with, notably JASA1021(?). I'd never use what I'd learn, but just learning it would be awesome!

I have only been around on CT for a few years but I have put into practice a lot of ideas and techniques from charimon. Not many guys in my area that are full time tile guys so it's been real nice to have this forum.

Re: Contractor Talk Dream Team?

None. I hate construction work. It's a trap. Why'd I step into this mess.

No. I'm hoping to meet a few at the IBS show.

Probably
Griz (seasoned veteran)
Cali (deck connoisseur)
Black top (might be able to teach me how to tape a friggin wall without the chit bunching up and ending on the floor)
Justin or Spencer (awesome trim guys)
Youngin (just to have hope that there are younger generations that still are dedicated) btw thank you for being a beacon of hope for our industry,
And Nathan ninja framer (I've got a trig question with roof framing I'd love to hash out)
Jaws (maybe he can show me how to take my bags off and still get a check) list goes on....

I'd just be happy to work with someone else that has the passion and camaraderie.

And if the coffee maker was broke you wouldn't tell us if or when it would be fixed, but let us know we have the following options:

1) water from the hose
2) water from the dog bowl
3) water from drywaller's bucket.

(all in good fun Cricket)
