Vintage cars? I love Oldsmobiles any and all vintages. except Silouette and other post 80's crap.

The ones made right after WW2 are awesome and rare. As is that famous road car the Toranado. The rocket V-8's and many other "firsts" were Oldsmobile

GM of course had to quit making such an iconic line

The Hyundai?

What is that other one, anyway?

I think as these cars evolved to more complex motors so has the fun of sporting your ride. The Chevy engines were simple and you could do your own modifications easy. Hell you could sit in the engine compartment, now every inch is consumed. We had auto part stores and Performance stores everywhere. Not anymore.

I dont even see cars from the 80's around here anymore. Those Camaros, Grand Nationals, Vetts or even Mustangs. They must all be in Cuba

Re: Can We Bull**** About Cars For A Minute?

Tonight will be the first cruise night of the season in beautiful downtown Metamora.

There will be hundreds of amazing rides. all parked, all owned (mostly) by wheezing old guys.

Cars are nice, standing around telling fish stories are boring as hell.

But wait: This coming weekend is the opener for Lapeer Dragway. Lots of run what you brung and pro bracket racers. Everything from F1 Ford pickups to Toyota's with dual turbos.

1971 Pantera, this ones lost relative. Pictured is the '74, I thought I had some progress pics of the '73 but can't find them right now.

There is something that makes the one on the hauler unique to the 75 that were built. I'd probably only clean it up and take care of any mechanical that need attention.

Gotta have your toys.....

I was a car guy from single digits until my 40's. Around my shop are 3 auto places that lean to custom or restoration.

I have noticed the girls the current crop of cars attract is not what it used to be. Back in my day we had the absolute hottest girls hanging around----this does not appear to be the case anymore.

Re: Can We Bull**** About Cars For A Minute?

Because of EPA regulations I remember at least 4 junk yards in a 10 mi radius no longer around.

They used to bail me out working on my own stuff.

Now that it was mentioned I recall the 500 in the Eldo, never saw it in anything but an Eldo. Never seen or heard of the 511.
