In 1986 Corvette, It was sold to me without a clear title so I couldn’t register or Get insurance on it, Turns out it was a scam to steal it back from me, turned into a very bad situation.

1980 Toronado diesel. "THE BIGGEST POS" GM ever dumped on the public.

I refused to even ride in a GM brand for 20 years.

A 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. We sold it. Biggest piece of **** on the planet, or second biggest, I've come to realize the 1980 Tornado is up there in the top 2.

Re: Buyers Remorse....

I only get buyers remorse if I buy something and it doesn't just not meet expectation but falls completely flat... Away from vehicles and into the trades I have two because they were expensive but both were turds and both Festool.

Re: Buyers Remorse....

Buying door slabs for my current project from Menards instead of my usual supplier. Talk about a total time waster dealing with the big box stores. I've wasted 3 hours & 5 trips in trying to get the order right. Even though my usual supplier was higher, it would have been a wash because of my lost time. Never again.

Yep their doors are junk!! The only time I grab one is if it's a quick and dirty job or if I am in a pinch. Jambs are crap veneer over crab particle board, edges rougher than chit.

Re: Buyers Remorse....

Seeing as I was reminded recently I'd say my ARE HD Series truck cap, I should have just gotten a cheaper DCU.

My Festool OF1010 Router with the garbage plastic bushing plate.

Midi Systainers, just too flimsy, no good for big heavy tools.

Buying a 13" laptop instead of a 15".

Doors seem alright. We went with poplar slabs & I'm making the jambs in house for the exact reason you mentioned, don't want the particle board junk. She was insistant that she didn't want any particle board or MDF in her remodel. We're making all the painted trim our of poplar.

It's just all the bull**** ya have to go through to special order from a big box store, it's ridiculous. At my usual supplier, I set down at the desk with the owner of the yard, he writes down what I want, calls me when they come in & back in, load up & leave. If there's a problem, I call him on his cell & he takes care of it.I guess I'm spoiled.

Client picked what she wanted from Menards, so I went with them.

Re: Buyers Remorse....

BOSCH 1/2" hammer drill. Biggest pile of crap I have ever purchased! It just stopped working the first time I tried to use it, took it back for repair (still under warranty) after it being gone for two weeks I get it back and try it again, same exact scenario, just quits working! WTF so now it just sits in the nice plastic box it came in. I'll never buy another Bosch tool except their lasers, I have three of them and they are great.
I'm sure there are a few other things along the way but nothing that really stands out.

Out of curiosity why didn't you make the slabs?

I've got quite a few doors coming up and although I'm more expensive than a supplier the homeowner said they'd rather pay more for exactly what they want and know they'll never have a problem with them. I love doing interior door packages.
