Re: BEER Thread

Considering I don't like chocolate in the first place, perhaps it was a loser for me from the beginning.

All this beer chatter tonight and a balmy 4 outside right now with the forecast of up to 6" of snow tomorrow, I think I need to venture out and get me a 6 pack or two of something worthy

Probably..plus they add cocoa flavor so it's a little more forward than others.

You can probably get Sprecher's considering your location...try to find it!

And you don't like, chocolate.
Now, that's sayin' somethin'.

Even though It's Sam Adams, as I said, I'll occasionally try it.
So, I guess that's on deck.

Cheers,
D.

Re: BEER Thread

Just finished off two of them kirkland IPA's. Not bad not very hoppy but I can't complain. 16.99 for a case. I am kicking myself for not indulging earlier. Next up the Amber then a Pale ale.

I believe they are having a sale on it here. I think it is usually 18.99 here too. Either way I would buy it again and not think twice about it. I am hop head when it comes to beer. However I enjoy a good craft beer and this is good stuff.

My brother just got into home brewing. So I am pulling out the equipment to start up again. Was supposed to go to the homebrew store today. That didn't work out. Next friday I can get down there though. I just got a case of bottles with good beer in them for the price of empty's. I can't complain.

Re: BEER Thread

We have any home brewers here? Here is my extra IPA about 2 days after I brewed it with a nice krausen

As soon as I bottle this I'm thinking about doing an imperial stout, maybe something along the lines of Old Rasputin.

One of the best beers I have tasted that no one will be able to taste...

Finally cracked one of the 2 bottles I had, I opened in celebration for the watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition Episode#200 Joplin Build Thought that was worthy.

Re: BEER Thread

Forgot to add that it has a GREAT taste, and almost no aftertaste.. it is really strange that way. It was a great beer, and sucks it could not have been a staple or seasonal beer from Castle Rock. Maybe they will re-release it on anniversaries.. they should.
