Re: Bad Day

The truck at 7 yards of concrete on it ...drying as we speak.. It's about 6 feet from the track and they're worried its going to flip over on to the track.

Did something wash out? Mudslide? From the picture it looks like the whole path ahead is a mess. Surely that driver was not thinking he could get through there!

Re: Bad Day

Normally I have to fight drivers to get them to go off the track, this guy was full steam ahead. It looks like the path was softer than he expected. Happened to me once, $1,200 in wrecker bills + a full 10yds of concrete wasted.

The driver was at fault for not putting down his mats and the super was at fault for not checking the site before he crossed the curb....

I'm going to take a wide stab at it and suggest that it's easier to clean up the 'crete off the ground than out of drum. Start ditching er!

I was thinking the same thing. I think we've all got a concrete truck stuck atleast once. We usually just pull it put with a dozer.
