Tough call...it would depend on pricing.

4 options, dropins that work with the ballast, dropins that you remove the ballast, LEDs with a driver that replaces the ballast....or replace the entire fixture.

Option 1 is fastest but least efficient.

I'd exercise option 3 or 4 based on local pricing.

Not sure what Inner would do, but I recently finished my shop and we installed the 8' LED fixtures. Amazing how much light they put out, and never a bulb to change.

I think Inner will probably need to have his own forum if this keeps up.

Probably status quo for me, 2018 was huge business wise but not dollar wise for me.

Inner needs to ask Inner in Inner's Corner "which is better?" Running arse off to keep big business with small return or make a very good living on the smallest volume and live a good long life and oh look up Oconomowoc's old threads.

Picture this....you have several clients that provide you with very good very profitable work....then refer you to others and it's hard to say no because you don't want to make them look bad.

I have a general rule I don't have over 12 clients in my circle. Sometimes one will keep me busy for a year. I worked for 4 people last year. Just tell them you can't do it because you cannot get away and tell your good clients you are more then willing to provide their friends with reputable recommendations.

Although you probably don't have jobs that take you as long as me so figure out how many is a comfortable number of clients and go with that. It works well for me anyhow.

High margin low volume makes for a stress free life... I'm posting from my kitchen table because I wanted to have a conversation with my wife

My jobs vary from 5 minutes to 3 years. Scheduling is the hardest part.

Don't sit on the old pink insulation.

Or you could have worms, that will do it.

A well known up and coming news-caster in Philly had to leave his job because it was reported he was doing it.
You gotta wonder sometimes....

Putting gerbils in his butt?!

I always thought that was a urban legend.

Not an urban legend.

Light bulbs up there also, there is a medical procedure to remove the bulb without breaking it.

Wow!

I really don't have anything to say other than that is more than strange and something I never thought anyone would actually do.

That is true, heard about that back in the late 70s. They used to use the plastic tubes from inside golf bags or cut the ends off whiffle ball bats.

I knew someone who used to do it
