Close, her husband, she's a vegetarian, he has decieded to go vegan.

Vegan sugar cookies. I didn't have any cookie cutters so....

No colored sugar either, a little powdered sugar on top.

They are exceedingly sticky, even after refrigerating over night.

Taste is not as bad as I expected.

I'm glad I'm not a vegan.
Kudos to you though for satisfying a vegan's sweet tooth.

It was too fast and too smoky. It could definitely be I just jacked up the cook. The only reason I even thought it could be the whole ribeye is those occasions even when a steak looks great, it just cant be cooked as good as another even when using a tried and true method. I reverse seared the end of a whole ribeye a few months back and it was delicious.

I'll have to get back to you guys tonight.

Now I have to find out if they'll allow me to come over there. I have to measure plumbing location so I can make the drawers for the vanity we built now that it has been installed.

If she says no, the guys get vegan sugar cookies along with the chocolate chip and peanut butter.

Worst case for the so so rib eye would be to do a marinade to salvage. I sometimes do that for steak fajitas with great results. It's not the same as a good Rib Eye, but beats bad tasting, or tough steak.

Probably a good move. We're starting to find out this thing isnt as harmless for kids under 5 as we thought it was. I'm staying away from my parents completely for now. Same for the wifes parents. First time I'm ever going to miss a pregnancy doctor visit because we arent letting our parents watch the kids.

Pastrami, right out of the smoker.

It will be best if it sits for at least 12 hours...

Is that like...wait until the bread or cookies cool before eating them?

Explain to me what you got there, and how you made it.

Do it like I don't have a clue, because I don't.

Go to store buy corned beef.

In your kitchen

Remove cornedbeef from package

rinse corned beef thoroughly in cold water.

Pat dry, remove excess fat.

Apply dry rub to your liking...

Do not over do as then end product is salty

Put in smoker, 225*, approx 1.5 hrs per pound

I use only apple wood

Internal temp of 170-200, to taste

After time, remove from smoker

Place under lock & key

Let cool/set for 8-12 hours

Slice and enjoy on a sandwich or snack food with a cold beer....
