Re: Any Of You Cook?

Grilled up some wings. Bar where I grew up is known for their amazing sauce and they sell small containers of it. Hot sauce is a key ingredient to a couple things I eat.

Just grabbed a bunch of stuff from the fridge that needed to be eaten.

Mushrooms and shrimp are in the tinfoil.

Re: Any Of You Cook?

Here's a simple recipe to try. We call it pepper steak.

Ingredients:
skirt steak, sliced into bite-size pieces
onions, quartered and sliced thick
bell peppers, sliced (yellow, red, green whatever you like)
sherry cooking wine
side dish of cooked rice of your choice (jasmine, long grain, whatever)

Marinate the steak for a couple hours in sherry cooking wine, then drain.

Fry up your veggies in a lightly greased cast iron pan (or wok). Set aside.

Fry up the meat in same hot pan, lightly greased. Cook until medium rare, or what you like, but don't over do it. A little salt and/or garlic powder, as you wish. Soy sauce at the end, to taste.

Serve it all up, over rice, or separately. Enjoy.

This was interesting and contrary to everything I'd been told and believed.

We eat that a few times a month. Try it with a little broccoli.

Pepper steak lol...man that's pretty close to a Chinese stir fry. Good eats none the less but I'd fry it all up together in a ripping hot pan. Also could a little more flavours to up the complexity, ginger, chili flakes, maybe a splash of mirin.
