I prefer catching over eating, but I had seconds of it. It was pretty good.

Yes the catching is the fun part and eating is the payoff.

So what's your method for catching them. No worries I won't potlick your honeyhole.

Re: Any Of You Cook?

I love this crescent roll ring my wife found a while back, I don't even really use the directions anymore. You can put whatever you want into and it comes out delicious.

I chop up spinach, celery, mushrooms, shredded mozzarella, frozen mixed veggies, and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Then for my side I cooked up ground Turkey with some seasoning and added that in.

I have plans to do a pizza one, a taco one, and even Thanksgiving dinner

Re: Any Of You Cook?

The little lady made a great vermicelli salad the other week, so I tried to one up her with my own version.
Fail.
But, the tuna was good and the salad WAS decent.

Easter Sunday is the 21st of April...8 days away.

Are you preparing dinner at your house?

What are you making?

No, not at my house. It's never at my house. Not enough room for family.

But we'll bring dessert and some of the munchies.

Re: Any Of You Cook?

We have Christmas Eve, 4th of July, Texas Independence Day at my house, 50 people. Christmas Day at my mom's house, 50 people. Thanksgiving is it my mom's house 35 people. Easter is probably 40 people and we will have an Easter egg hunt at my mom's house Saturday and I will make brisket for everyone to come out on Easter Sunday. I haven't gotten any RSVPs yet so it may be a light Gathering.

BBQ, what else could it be in Texas? Probably will do a brisket along will lots of boiled eggs which I will hide all over the place for the grandkids to find. I have a couple of Easter Egger's that lay pale blue eggs, no food coloring required.

Re: Any Of You Cook?

I'm doing two legs of lamb and a ham (for those that don't like lamb).

Twice baked potatoes a few green things and my wife will make her famous deviled eggs.

Sue and I will be over after we’re done at Kelly’s. Love my daughter but vegetarian Easter is not a highlight..

Leg of Lamb on Weber kettle, yum....

I’ll post a picture of the sauce you need to make for the lamb, it is fantastic. I may have posted it earlier, I’m at Kelly’s right now, cookbook is at the apartment.

If you need to double the recipe. Make 2 batches, doubling this one does not work.

Re: Any Of You Cook?

Attached is a photo of moms recipe.

Incase if difficult to read here is the sauce recipe typed out;

Blend; 1/2 cup sugar, 1 table spoon corn starch, 1/2 tea spoon salt & sweet basil, 1 table spoon prepared mustard (plan old every day yellow mustard)

Add & stir well, 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 1 cup water

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Brush over over lamb every 10 minutes during the last 30 minutes of roasting time.

My edit;

I cook my lamb on a Weber Kettle using indirect heat. I do not brush/baste during cooking. I use the sauce as a dipping sauce.

For the record---I hate mint sauce.....

I posted it above, they're there for anyone to use.

Some day I should have moms cookbook copied then printed out, and give a copy to my siblings, but I really don't like them that much.....
