Wallpaper Over Plywood

I have a restaurant where I'm replacing a damaged section of a wall roughly 32 linear feet. They have supplied the replacement paper and it's a heavy commercial fabric type paper.

The wall is plywood, so I'll be replacing it with the same. I will be priming the wall, and sizing.

Will any type of primer be ok?
Because the paper is being hung horizontal, is basic sizing good enough?

Any other tricks would be great
