Re: Do You Send Appointment Reminder Or Call?

If the appointment was made a week or more ago, I'll call or text (depending on the tech savviness of the customer) the night before.

If the appointment was made just a day or two before, I call or text that I'm on my way when I leave my driveway.

Easier to make a quick call to confirm or send a text than get all the way out there to find no-one there for whatever reason (i.e. - over-run meeting, not home, emergency, etc.)...

Know before you go...

Re: Do You Send Appointment Reminder Or Call?

I would usually confirm the day before via email and call on the-day-of when I'm on my way.

I have always sent confirmations the day before for appointments. Starting a job is a different story I would never give only a days notice, more like a week with confirmation 1 or 2 days before.

Re: Do You Send Appointment Reminder Or Call?

I ask them if they text and the answer these days is always yes.

So I text them before I leave to let them know that I'm on my way. It's always nice if they respond. If it's farther than 25 minutes away I'll do it earlier to find out they are there and after a response I will text again when I am on the way and my approx arrival time.

Yes! I have it automated. I'd rather double check and most customers appreciate you checking in and having the ability to add it to their calendar.
