AirMore comes close. The ability to just be in proximity, browse where the photos are stored and one-click upload to iPhone. And vice versa. Just did a batch of uploads from PC to iPhone, worked as I hoped.

It relies on iphone scanning a QR code on PC for each use - which just seems weird.

WiFi Photos is exactly as easy as a wired network, but only provides for the iphone downloading to the PC.

I'm familiar with the cloud approach, have OneDrive, and it does not do what I want.

Anyway, thanks for input.
I guess Iím not understanding exactly what the difference is. Iíll have to look at Airmore. If cloud services are structured correctly you basically just take your entire file structure and dump it into the cloud folder. So thereís never a need to search where the files are stored, drag to the cloud and go from there, everything is just there always and on every device thatís linked. That seems like it would be easier than having to use a transactional method with a QR code every time. Am I missing something?

I do not want or expect say, the comptroller to put all the company photos on the cloud.

Just the ability to select a few relevant ones and pull them onto the iphone. MY iphone.

And did I not make it clear? The QR thing is just weird, and the other app does not require that.

Ok. Got it. I was thinking more in terms of access to all files/photos from every device at all times. I guess itís just a different preference in structure.

I did. From what I understand a point and shoot camera can be digital.

Not trying to sell here...but would love to speak Contractors using Dropbox or Google to store and manage photos and project related information.

We want to develop an affordable platform for growing contractors to store and sort information automatically using the intelligence from your photos. These could be sorted in an excel type view and a map view. Something to help finished jobs more efficiently as it's clear what's outstanding for each project.

Would be interested to hear of the pain points using tools such as dropbox and google, which are not specifically designed for construction.
