Yeah I have to say Netflix is **** 95% of the time. I get kicked, can't log in, awful quality, 2/3 servers down nearly every time I use it. For $10 a month though I don't give a crap.

We like the Wii because of its remote, & you can buy a used one for $50.

In pay $7.99 a month for. NETFLIX and have never been kicked, quality is never an issue and have never seen a server down. Maybe it's an ISP or local issue?

The app also is super handy when my wonderful children lose my roku remote.

It's hard to figure out what's causing it. My internet is way fast enough so I know it's not that and cox are on Netflix list of good ISP who don't throttle you when on Netflix.

There's some things online where I was reading about what causes these problems and they said it's almost def a issue caused by Netflix as they can't keep up with demand. They are supposed to be paying ISP's cash now to house the servers internal to their networks so these issues are cut down but it's a slow roll out for that.

It's works good enough for the price though. If it gets any worse though I'm gonna try Hulu

I have both. Hulu is great for current tv shows but crappy for or older shows movies. It also doesn't have as many episodes.

Any big box store should have them. Wally world, best buy, etc...

If you go to Wally World, check the internet price, if it's lower, they'll match it. They did that when we went to get one for my future father in law.

Re: OK You Tech Wizards...

If Verizon Fios is available in your area, they now have ala-carte service where you can build your own package based upon the channels that you actually watch.

I have a Roku box, Apple TV, and Chromecast. What I like about Apple TV is that I can stream my iPad to it and find content using a the keyboard vs. arrowing through the alphabet on the screen. The downside is that it only works with iOS devices so my Roku box is still in 1st place.

As for the services, the only thing that I didn't like about Hulu is all of the commercials. Generally commercials are OK but Hulu plays the same ones OVER and OVER again! It gets to be pretty annoying after a while.

I still have antenna TV and DirectTV because I just like having the feel of being "plugged in" to the world in real time. This is good for those times when I'm not really watching anything specific but I like when my mornings and evenings are interrupted with breaking news every time there is a accident in the area or if there is some sort of crazy barricade situation.
