If my printer were to go kaput I'd get another Brother.

my brother was doing delivery and repairs for an office lease company that does printers. He told me brother printers are the best hands down. I got mine on sale for $150 2 years ago. I like how the drum and cartridge separate to make replacement cheaper. my Samsung was toner and drum in one and hated it. non top jams and toner leaking all over
I lost my cool because it got toner all over my white shirt before a meeting. I opened my door and tossed it out of the house.
got a text from the old lady asking why the printer is in peices on the front lawn.
I've also smashed 2 alarm clocks holding them by the cord haha.

An old line company too.

Used to make ultra portable typewriters and sewing machines.

The other thing that is a must for me. That I could not find on most other printers.
Is a simple fast way to print just one envelope.
Has a slot in the front to feed in a single blank envelope.
No messing with removing paper or anything
The handiest thing in my office is the Brother QL-500 label printer. We use it several times every day for envelopes, file folders and to mark things like putting labels to tell people where to return cell phones, tablets, cameras, tools, head phones, etc.. How many times does someone find something and not know where to return it.

I got that one for my wife. My old one is a 2270.

That is one expensive printer you had available to you. Those are meant to pop out thousands of pages a day, and I would be surprised if you were utilizing it that much. If you want a new printer with similar quality, yet a lower cost, you should look into a Brother HL-L8260CDW or a HP LaserJet Pro M426ftdn.

For inkjet, our Epson ecotanks have been flawless for a couple years. We don’t print much, but tons of ink left.

I've been running one for a few years. On my first refill of black ink, which is cheap. It is a good deal in the long run for sure.

Re: Need A Suggestion For A New Printer.

Get a laser printer. There is no way I would go back to an inkjet. Inkjets are a nightmare with the cost of ink and ink drying up when not used frequently.

I switch to a Brother MFC-9340CDW a few years back at it has been great with fast good quality printing. It can do 2-sided as well as copying and scanning (fax too, if you still do that). It does color if you need it. I don't do color often, but it is decent quality and I don't have to worry about dried ink nozzles. Toner lasts awhile and is reasonably inexpensive. I buy generic toner from ebay.

I have a Samsung clp-320 color printer and it has no issues using compatible toners i bought from ebay.I would stay away from HP since they load tons of other software not needed.
