IPhone 5C Screen & Battery

All part of the Monday Go To Hell cycle.

Well, it had to happen sometime right? I cannot stand the OtterBox, so the phone runs naked in my pocket. Pulled it out around 11 AM to answer a call, screen was exploded.

Jiggled, rotated, farted around until I got enough of a screen to have Siri locate the Apple store in Somerset Place - a ginormous place.

Next hassle was getting a hooman to talk to.

When I finally made that happen, made an appointment for 12:30 PM.
The online guy says to expect a wait of from 2 to 4 hours !

The battery is 80 bucks, the screen is 130 bucks. Fine, no biggy.

And right then is when the battery died.

FAAAACK!

I remembered that just 2 miles away is an independent phone repair joint, hole in the wall, but advertises they specialize in iphones.

Great, drive there, place is closed up, outta business.

FAAACK x2 !

Then notice there is a sign placard on one of the windows - call the number - its for a place in the business district.

BOOM !

New screen, new battery, plus screen protector, in and out in 45 minutes.

80 bucks out the door plus 75 cents for the parking meter.

These places have a good outlook for future business. I took 2 phones to a "Fix my Gadget." Took about 1 1/2 hours to fix both. Price was very reasonable. Similar to what you paid.

I wish we had something like that here. It is pretty expensive here.

Just needed the lens cover replaced on my S7 and it was 150 bucks. Screen was 250 for my S7 edge.

That was a couple years ago though, maybe I'll check into it again.

My prices were for Apple. Samsung is significantly higher. Even for the older ones. I had my daughter's screen replaced on a Galaxy something. It was $259. At that time, an apple screen was $90.
The other day, when I was there, I mentioned the Samsung screens. The lady told me they were still really high.
