HP Photosmart 7200 All In One Printer Problem...

When it prints it alternates a printed page with a blank page.It prints everything it is supposed to but there is an extra blank page between every printed page...

Kinda sucks when I am printing two copies of a 15 page contract....

Any ideas before I call HP and sit on hold all day?

I'm afraid you'll have to call. I won't buy an HP or a Brother printer, I've had too many problems with both. I think a few of the Samsung printers are nice.

Try cleaning the rubber wheels which roll the paper out of the paper tray if it is actually grabbing 2 sheets at a time. I have had a few printers through the years do this.

This is usually the problem when the rubber gets old You may have to replace them. Also have you ever cleaned the printer inside?

Are you running Windows Vista? If you are and assuming you've checked all your print settings to make sure the paper size, page separators, etc. are all correct then I would suggest installing the printer driver directly from the CD that came with it. I have heard that outputing a blank page between each printed page has been a problem for some of the built-in HP drivers in Vista. I know of one person who installed the driver from the CD instead of using the pre-installed driver with Vista and that solved the problem. Good luck!

simple thing to check is to make sure when you typed the contract the last page didn't move the footer to the next page. I find that with mine sometimes if i'm not careful that happens. I have to go back into the doc. and make sure the page is set up properly. Just throwing that out there.
