Cell Phone Charges

I'm watching the cell phone bill w/ Verizon with a 1400m plan and it's running $200/mo for two smart phones (w/ access) and one additional old school phone.

any better cost alternatives out there? between that, internet access at home and cable it's taxing...

Re: Cell Phone Charges

I have Sprint and 5 phones total. My bill is $200/month. I get a credit from Sprint for being a long time customer, but I also pan an extra $10/month for having the HTC Evo. I get unlimited texts, internet, and mobile phone calls. We share 1500 minutes to all land lines, but we have never come close to that.

Re: Cell Phone Charges

I had the equivalent plan with AT&T with 4 lines, 2 of which were iPhones both with unlimited data plans and text messaging for $230-260 a month.

1500 mins--no internet--unlimt text etc etc...2 phones sprint $100. total with taxes fees etc...In my area Sprint is the best bang for the buck. Verizon and ATT $$$$$$$$$$$ had Verizon once all kinds of bill problems and over charges ....

I pay around $165/mo for all the bells with Verizons for one phone.

Got my son and wife the Straight Talk go phone from Wally World for $45/mo each and it has unlimited calls, texts, and internet. Dam good service too.

Re: Cell Phone Charges

How often do you use your celly for more than texting and paging? My Cricket bill is about $50/month unlimited text/and minnutes. Land line about $25.00, and internet is about $40/month. I would ask myself, how important is all that smart phone jazz. If it truly is a must have item, sobeit.

Get rid of the cable, and just go with antenna and converter box. We get about 18 channels, and 9 of them aren't bad. I don't understand why so many people have cable/sattelite tv. True, you get more channels, but it's simply more channels of nothing. Hey, if you can afford to drop that much money/month for all the extras, good for you, but, based on what you typed, there is a lot of pork in your communication bill.

Re: Cell Phone Charges

T-Mobile provider. Have 3 phones with unlimited email, text, internet and phone mins. on all those phones for $195/month. If I remember correctly, the plan I have with them is:
"Even More Plus™ for Families Unlimited Talk + Text with FlexPay®"

Re: Cell Phone Charges

Doesnt have the best coverage, it does use the sprint network or the newest phones but Boost mobile is $50 a month for unlimited everything and $60/month for unlimited Blackberry. I switch a phone to it earlier in the year. I have better coverage than my ATT phone almost everywhere, except my house. So with tax my Blackberry cost me 64 a month.
