Back in 02, my company did custom home framing. Had a crew of 7 guys I didn't want to lose. So I ran an ad to try and pick up a deck job or two to keep them busy. Well the phone rang off the hook and it was a direction I never thought I'd be taking. It paved the path for my business today and I never looked back.

I'm very happy I didn't just lay down. The decking industry has been much better to me then framing. Here in Cali framing is very competitive with many framing businesses around. Decking is a niche with no competition when it comes to my business.
