Is Selling Fittings And Hardware Online A Good Idea For My Renovation Business?

Hi guys,

seen some sites do this (mainly interior designers) who also sell 'how to diy your home reno courses) thinking of getting into this as well for extra income.

do you think its a good idea or a waste of time?

One man's garbage is anothers treasure... It's an income stream but, only you can determine if it would be a profitable one based on what you come across and have consistent access to...

That said, the amount of time you'd spend on it, would probably be better spent on finding ways to improve your company to extract more income from it... more likely to yield a better ROI in time and money...

If you really want to pursue it, you could also simply become a "supplier" to the online sites you're referring to that already exist... all it would require is an eye for what's in demand and shipping...

I doubt it is as profitable as construction. I'd rather do construction than be a merchant

I'm in a different industry but I get used equipment all the time for free. I sell it in my spare time provides a couple hundred dollars a month for minimal work.

How do you sell it? In lots, or one by one?

Of course I would think selling fixtures and fittings would require less physical labor.

Depends on what I have if I have a large number of the same item I'll sell it in a lot for things I only have 1 of or a few I sell them individually.

Does PayPal not protect the seller against fraud as well? They are the ones processing the card.

had to think about it since was so long ago.
I have only got refunds as a buyer and when I was a seller I never got one case in favor when disputing. I recall they slap you for even disputing adding $25 fee to loss cases.
Was couple years ago so maybe it's changed now.
