Labor Market

How is everyone finding good help?

Since COVID - do you find people entering the trades in your area where there isn't as much work in other industries?

If they can work somewhere inside for the same pay they aren’t going to be in an attic pulling duct work or wrestling an air handler.

They might if you let them smoke grass and drink on the job.

You will likely have to wait until after July 31, when the additional $600 per week unemployment ends, unless there is another round of "stimulus". Then you will have to weed through all the garbage.

Good luck!

One of (if not the most) difficult parts of being a contractor is finding good help.

Spot freakin on. I've never met so many people who in the interview process feel like THEY are the boss and you need them. Guys with no references want to be started out at $40+/hour for small residential contractors.

Arrogance is a one way ticket out the door. In fact it's one of the number one things companies look for during interviews.
