The Home Show Ending!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn0h_Oc2Rdw

Today was the last day of the Home Show....and I guess I can find something else to do today. I don't know for sure, but, I think in the end of the video, you can see a few of my ICF blocks from my display. About $600....plus business cards I collected from trade guys, plus my portfolios...which I have no backup copies of .

Luckily, no one was hurt, and for me...the last thing I did was carry out 2 sets of blueprints that I had in my booth to work on in slow periods.

Wow, glad no one was hurt.

Look at the bright side...your new sales pitch...had this place been built with ICF and a concrete roof...you get the idea

Re: The Home Show Ending!

Joasis,

I was on the phone with my folks who live in Enid until 1:30 last night (this morning) watching these storms come through. I guess the tornado out on the north side hit around 10:30? There were a couple more that looked like they were going to drop around 1:00 a.m. Enid hasn't had severe weather this bad since the '93 hailstorm. I'm glad to see everyone is fine and at least it came through late at night while noone was at the Expo Center.

Sounds like it's round two today, though. Batten down!

Glad your OK - now if you get your portfolio back in salvageable shape - make copies this time. I scan mine in & post the pages on the web site, or store them in separate locations

Re: The Home Show Ending!

That was a trip! Letting 2 people in under escort to get their stuff...waited 2 hours in line to get in and get my portfolios...and they are ok. My booth was still standing...only thing missing was my flyers...and they flew! I took a few pictures of the roof, but didn't have my camera when I went inside.

I was at home, 18 miles south, when this all took place...sleeping!

This video shows the inside of the Expo Center.....if you look close, around :45 and a few seconds later, you can pick out my booth...the ICF blocks were still standing.
