Florida Home Builder Start-up

Hi everyone,

I am in the planning stages of start-up to build spec homes early next year.

I will hire a qualifier and I will be the financially responsible officer.

After a year, I will have the documented experience to submit an application to be a Certified Residential Contractor.

My question is, has anyone struggled in getting lenders to fund CRC's to build spec homes?

I noticed that the CRC requires you to sub certain aspects of the project.

My guess is the lender would allow it, as long as the subs are selected and qualfied (lic and ins) before funding?

Can someone shed some light on this.

Thank you so much.
