Collecting Payment Through The Contractor's Bond

I have a general contractor/property management firm that owes us for work on one of their properties ( all REO's). Well, as of this date they are 90 days past due on payment.

We are in CA, and, I was wondering if anyone here has tried to collect past due payment through the GC's contractor bond ? I have heard that this is very difficult to do and takes a tremendous amount of time.

Anyone have experience with this ?

Get cousin Vinny to knock on the door. That should solve the problem!

I think you have to to sue and get a judgment first. Good luck...
