Warranty Certificates...quick Question

Hey everyone, so when we do a new roof we have a 5 year warranty on all new roofs. We just thought the other day to give out actual Warranty Certificates with the general info about the warranty and the expiration date. I thought it was a cool idea but I want to get other opinions about this before I actually follow through. Is anyone else doing this or have had any problems with this?

Re: Warranty Certificates...quick Question

Have a warranty certificate for every job I do, just make sure you word it right for the scope of work you doing so you don't screw yourself with it.

Good luck

Re: Warranty Certificates...quick Question

Yes we give written warranty certificate on our in house warranties. Manufactured warranties get them from the manufacture based on what system was used.

So you have been "selling" 5 year warranties with out any paper work to prove there is a warranty?

Re: Warranty Certificates...quick Question

For certain give out actual certificates not just verbiage in the contract. Main reason is to use it in the SALES process. Hand them a copy. Make it look very official with a seal and everything. It becomes one more tool in the sales toolbox for roof replacement.

What other sales tools are you missing?
