Liberty Roofing On Roof Deck

I am in a bit of a bind, I have a current client selling house and inspector saw some rot On the facia of a Deck that is over a bay window. So I started today and the rot just went on and on. There was a rubber roof then sleepers than a Ipe deck. At the end of today it looks like the whole roof will have to come off. Its about 16x6. The water seems to have penetrated through were the posts come out of the rubber.
I called two local roofers both are slammed and cannot help me for some time. I am not familiar with torch down and don't have the equipment.

Could I pitch the roof an 1",which is about 6 feet wide, then instal new plywood, then liberty peal and stick with all the edge flashing, then lay my 2x4 sleepers on top.

Or is there a better product to use

I would not want the liability to guarantee that with a warranty.

Re: Liberty Roofing On Roof Deck

I have a client with a second story deck surrounded by exterior walls of the house. Under the decking there is some type of drain that runs the water through a wall out the side. Needless to say, its leaking in two places after someone reworked it 2 years ago. I have to find a fix and I'm baffled til the decking comes up

Most SA Mod Bit roofs need .5/12 slope

They also have a mid-ply sheet to make it a three ply system - use it

After more research I am going to return the liberty and go with the usual EDPM, how it lasts longer this time.

No penetrations go through the roofing under the deck. On that size I would do it with no seams. Sure it's a bit of a waste but your better off.

What's the slope currently? If there is none add some with tapered ISO. If there is a slope use either 1/2" Hd ISO coverboard or Densdeck/securerock. Do not use wood fiberboard. and don't glue directly to the plywood under a deck. make sure your walls are flashed properly. Use your scrape rubber for sleepers for the new floating deck. Post for hand rails get secured to the decking, and connection to the house. Not through the roof.

Also for what it's worth rubber roof and torch roofs are different.

Here is a couple from one we did not to long ago. 1/4" per foot tapered insulation, 1/2" Densdeck coverboard and 60 mil EPDM. One seam on the longer roof, we always do them with 6" tape.

This deck will have 2'X2' pavers on pedestals.
