Killing Moss On Ballast Roof

Hello,
I just bought a house that has a ballast roof, from what I can tell, is in pretty good shape. There is a fair amount of moss growing on the North side that I want to kill. Logical thought is to put moss killer on it, any problem with this method? Don't want to harm membrane.

Re: Killing Moss On Ballast Roof

How fast do you want to kill it. I think zinc strips on the peak of the roof will take care of it eventually and keep the problem away.

Pretty sure it won't work on a flat roof

Killing it is one thing. Getting rid of it is another. Bleach will do the trick and it will die but it will take a long time to deteriorate without manual intervention.

Remove the roof and put a proper draining roof on. Problem solved.
