Any input would be appreciated.
I have a 20' enclosed and a 14k lb trailer.

I hate dumpsters, 750- 850 for 3 tons

if I haul dump trailer 3 tons + $330

no brainer, $ 400 in extra profit

Yes, it's a shingle recycling plant that's actually owned by one of the largest asphalt paving companies in the area.

Thanks. Surprisingly I haven't got too many flat tires. All of last season it was only two on my dump trailer. I have a discount tire near by (awesome place) and they do patch work for free. When I have to buy new tires, I pay extra for the road hazard so they replace it at no charge if it can't be repaired.

I'm angry at myself for wasting so much money for so long.

Re: Dumpster OR Dump Trailer?

I like flat trailers because they are easy to load. The guys use a chain with a tire at the end so when they get to the dump they just hook it to the loader. This is the most cost efficient way.

Re: Dumpster OR Dump Trailer?

just as the others have said. youll make money off a trailer instead of gettog dumpsters..

it costs us about $220 to dump our trailer just in tipping fee's then theres the markup to haul it around. plus you can use it to pick up materials. for us to rent a bin its $850.

on our current job we got a bin soley because its a little out of they way from our normal work area and we couldnt keep up dumping and returning our trailler quick enough compared to how fast we were creating piles of debris on the front lawn beause demo was so extensive.....

Re: Dumpster OR Dump Trailer?

AtlRoof, there are some recycling places in Hampton and Douglasville that will let you dump for $60.00 but everything has to be separated.

I can get a dumpster for about $300.00 here.

Re: Dumpster OR Dump Trailer?

I'm not sure. It was listed at the CRS in college park. You might give them a call. We dump at a place in canton that charges $75.00 per load.
