Drip Edge Replacement


Any ever use existing drip edge if not damaged when replacing shingles?

On a strip and reroof, no. On a go over, just leave it as is.

Sometimes. Last year we reused some of the galvanized drip edge on a rarely seen gable end, other three sides were new. It's not to save money, it's philosophical. Unlikely that we would do that on a property that I didn't own.

I have done stuff like that on my own place that I would not even think about doing on a customers.

My sister has some rentals and when we work on that the standing joke now is " its a rental " if something does not come out just right.

Sometimes my house is a lab to experiment and decide whether I would use a product (usually gutter covers of different brands) on a customer's home.
