Anybody Ice Dam Steaming???

Wondering if anybody on the N/E cost is doing snow and ice removal? We got slammed here in MN last Winter with 3 months of non stop work but this Winter have not shoveled off one roof.

Putting together a plan to head out to MA in the next couple days. Got 5 steam machines sitting and ready to work!

Re: Anybody Ice Dam Steaming???

The ice is just coming around now.

It has snowed and there is that, but the temps have remained pretty darn low and the heat loss/thaw cycle has not kicked into high gear here in Western NY.

The temperatures closer to the coast, from NYC up to Boston are typically higher. I would bet there will be plenty to do up there if you get your contacts in order.

It won't be long before the sh!t hits the fan.

Thanks for the response. The 14 day forecast looks like cooler temps and they are calling for a bit more snow this weekend.

Thinking it may only be busy for 1-2 weeks but that's okay. Worth the risk...

We did a couple last Saturday, but it's been slow. We've been plowing like crazy though, so I'm not complaining.

You'd kick some serious azz here. There is nobody that does it. Roof shoveling is one thing. The steamer seams to look like the ticket. I actually unplugged my phone due to the stupidity of homeowners crying that they are having issues with their gutters.

North facing or south facing, the pattern of melting snow on the roofs will probably tell you which houses will most need this service.

Once, years ago, a whole bunch of us had an epidemic of ice dam problems but not since.

Come to MA, the ice dams are crazy. I have turned down about 8 or so roof shoveling/ice dams. Around here you could just drive around and knock on doors, some are real bad.

I live about 15 min from a high end town you could prob clean up. You would have to shovel the roof also. PM me if you want more info.

You'll have plenty of work, anywhere from Springfield ma , EAST.

I can't keep up to the calls, and am not really trying.

We are doing 1 or 2 a day, that's it.

pm, me also, I'm in central ma. by Worcester..
