Are Any Of My Old Friends From CT Still Around?

I finally had to at least temporarily give up my Contracting Company after over 3 decades due to 7 full knee replacement operations, including the original 2, called a Bilateral Replacement and then 5 more Revision Infection Removal Surgeries.

So, from all the years of staying ahead of the curve and doing continuous research about every aspect of business, I found myself recruited as a Consultant and Insurance Appraiser.

I never thought I would have anything to do with full time insurance claims work, but I actually like the still continuing research and documentation aspects of doing it.

Let me hear from you if you are still around and if you guys even remember me.😉

Well, my phone number and email addresses have probably both been changed several times since then.

Re: Are Any Of My Old Friends From CT Still Around?

Yup. I remember the names popping up, but it sure was a heck of a lot of time ago.

Somehow, they forgot to remove me as a Moderator with my absence. The real reason I had to leave was I was trying to keep my Marriage and Family together and I guarantee you 100%, nobody tried harder, but it was a lost cause once your partner steps out of the marriage and wanted to hang out in bars every weekend or more.

The good news and sad at the same time, is she left Little Eddie with me. Now he's not Little Eddie anymore though. That was in the middle of 3rd Grade and now he's a Sophmore.

Then her story turned even more screwed up, but that's a story for another day.

So now, I'm pretty busy doing Insurance Appraisal work and I also ran a Public Adjuster Training School for one if the National PA Associations.

I've been Blessed to learn a lot and always be slightly more studious than most and I've been able to share that knowledge and keep helping people out.

A little over 2 years ago, I almost lost everything, because I really just concentrated on my Eddie, but after a 6 year and 10 month foreclosure ordeal, I eventually won my case and was granted a refinancing for our Home. Yup, only 38 more years until I'm 99 to pay it off for twice as much as I had it paid down to, but the payments are affordable. If things hadn't gotten sidetracked it would have been 100% paid off last year in 12 years and 10 months.

Plans Change I Guess.

Eddie now has his Drivers Permit and begins behind the wheel lessons in 9 more days.

Today was a good day too, after these danged Appraisals getting dragged out for so long by the Insurance Carriers shills, but I got a really good Award on a large Cedar Shake Roof and an average Shingle Roof as a surprise.

I swear, these Insurance Carrier Appraisers must get bonuses for not responding to emails from the Insureds Appraisers.

Talk to you all later.

Any interesting topics I should check out? I still am close friends with Grumpy and Tinner666 and BamBam and about 2 dozen other guys that i never knew their real names that transitioned over to FB.

I often wonder how many people on here end up going out of business, and I wonder who has been here the longest.
Itís funny how we become friends with people we really donít know. I played online chess with someone for over a year and we were pretty good online friends.... then out of nowhere I havenít heard a word from them . I assume they died in a car crash or something but Iíll probably never know.

Re: Are Any Of My Old Friends From CT Still Around?

That's cool. Due to 7 knee replacement and infection removal surgeries, if I didn't mention it in the original post, I hung up my roofing and siding contracting business and tool my 40 years of experience with Contracting and Insurance Policy knowledge to pursue a career in Insurance Appraisals and Umpiring.

I knew claims were handled poorly, but when you mediate so many bad ones in a row all the time, it's absolutely disgusting what the Insurance Carriers guide their Adjusters to do.

Madrina is a roofer down in Dallas that does PA work as well. She put up some examples of how HOs can get hosed by their insurance company. Some if them were in the just shy of double range.
