ANNOUNCEMENT: New Vendor Section

We will soon have a vendor section (subforum) in the community for paid commercial sponsors to be able to announce their current promotions and maybe even answer some of our questions about their product or service.

These commercial users will be restricted to that forum in the community and will have a vendor label (badge) under their name.

As with all forums within our community, we are expected to express ourselves in a respectful manner. We will not tolerate threads being started for the sole purpose of bashing a vendor, manufacturer, or service provider. We understand that not all products will be received the same way by all people but that does not give us the right to be rude or confrontational in these forums.

I would love to get some input from you about vendors, manufacturers, and service providers you would like to see have a presence here. We, as a community will benefit from these commercial users, as as they will be open and willing to receive feedback about their products and services from us.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: New Vendor Section

Can we start threads to let venders know what we want? Ideas for better products? I have several ideas!

Then you will have no reason to respond unless you are asking for help.

Will posts in this new section automatically appear in the "Timeline" of the CT app or will we have to browse all the sections to find them?

I would reply then, "not in my way of thought here, If ya can't say good, say, nothing at all"! SO just do a quote " NOT INTERESTED in your product, or issue!"

Some of them, MIGHT GET THE message!

Huh, about the same thing that Cricket said, just in other words!!
I JUST tried to be more correct/polite/ etc. JUST my way to reply!
Sorry, boot me out! Seems to me, since the "new' phase cam in to the picture, LOTS of the older folks are gone, and "THINGS JUST ARE NOT THE SAME"!

My bad, I needed to VENT!!!!

But, P.S. This site is not as it was about a year ago, and in my opinion going in the down hill direction for the CONTRACTOR info!

I DO know it takes money to operate, as with a house, etc. (for I DO own a few), BUT BE REAL HERE! This is a site for "INFO" that THAT IS GONE!

So will the pages load faster if the ads are in their own section?

I could use your input on those who should NOT be vendors here as well.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: New Vendor Section

I'd love to see tool manufacturers.

I definitely wouldn't be interested in seeing big box stores here.

Depend on what product. I won't use anything else for roofing and siding unless I'm matching something

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: New Vendor Section

WTF...vendors get a section but tile is still under flooring. This is bassakwards. When are we going to get our own section and heck our own forum. Seriously drywall has it's own section and now vendors?

Okay, keep in mind I am not a contractor and help me out here.

Tile is flooring, right?

Or, are you talking something different?

Is it this section that needs to be moved?
https://www.contractortalk.com/f73/

Send me a PM with what you think you need for that section, please.
